Low calorie diet may help reverse diabetes

In the study, individuals with diabetes who consumed a very low calorie diet had a decline in liver fat content resulting in normalisation of insulin sensitivity within seven days. Within eight months, the raised pancreas content dropped and regular first phase insulin secretion became re-established with normal plasma glucose management. In a follow-up study in 2016, individuals who’d been diabetic could reverse their illness when they dropped nearly 33 lbs. The low-calorie diet has been also found to be connected in individuals with no hunger and no tiredness, but with well-being that was quickly increased.
